Punjab to remove hurdles in provision of housing facilities

Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervaiz Ellahi has said that all the hurdles towards provision of housing facilities would be removed, and a one-window facility would be introduced for approval of the building maps.
He said this while chairing a meeting here on Friday in pursuance of the directions of President Pervez Musharraf.
The meeting constituted a committee with provincial law minister Raja Muhammad Basharat as its chairman, to remove the difficulties being faced by housing sector.
The other members of the committee are provincial Ministers for Revenue, Excise and Taxation, and Co-operatives, and Senior Member Board of Revenue, Secretary Co-operative, Member Colonies, Law Secretary, Secretary Excise and Taxation and Director General LDA.
The Chief Minister directed the committee to formulate its recommendation within one week and submit the same to him.
He said all impediments facing general public in connection with non-availability of facilities to the housing sector, would be removed.
