Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) has called an emergency meeting on Tuesday April 6,2004 to discuss issue of raids conducted by FIA on pharmaceutical units.
PPMA alleged that on Saturday April 3 around 10 to 12pm officials of FIA conducted raids at four units in federal B area, New Karachi and North Karachi. FIA personnel took away samples and sealed factory stores.
PPMA said the FIA officials gave no information as on whose orders they conducted the raids.
The association alleged that it is clear volition of rule of 19 sub-section 3 of pharmaceutical act.
The units are licensed and if there is any complaint against the units FIA must adopt the legal procedure.
