Tata hails appointment of Babar as minister

Riaz Ahmed Tata, President, Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), has welcomed the appointment of Senator Babar Khan Ghouri as the Federal Minister for Communications.
Tata said: "Communications is a very important sector in modern times and the level of development of communications determines the level of socio-economic development of a country."
President FPCCI stated that the efficiency and effectiveness in communication has a direct bearing on all aspects of trade, business and exports.
Tata hoped that the appointment of Senator Ghouri as minister of communications will greatly contribute to solution of problems and removal of irritants faced by trade and industry in the field of communication.
The FPCCI chief expressed the hope that with Senator Ghouri's competence and experience all aspects of communications, including efficiency and effectiveness of the ports, will be greatly improved.
Tata assured the newly appointed communications minister that the FPCCI, as the apex body of trade & industry in Pakistan, would provide all possible co-operation and support in efficient discharge of his responsibilities as the communication minister and in bringing about improvements in the critical areas of operations.
Tata also extended an invitation to Senator Ghouri for a meeting with the representatives of trade & industry at the Federation House, Karachi to orient himself with the problems and prospects faced by trade and industry in the field of communications.
