Five suspected freedom fighters and an occupation soldier were killed in a fierce all-night gunfight in a dense jungle area of occupied Kashmir, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
He said the fighting broke out late on Monday in Wuyan near Bandipora, 60 kilometres north of occupied Srinagar, when Indian occupation troops moved in on a tip-off.
Three other occupation soldiers were injured, he said.
Meanwhile, all Parties Hurriyat Conference (Ansari group), set to resume peace talks with India, said on Tuesday it will again press New Delhi to stop human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.
