Foreign cloth and other goods seized

An anti-smuggling squad of customs comprising Inspectors Sikandar Bajwa and Gulzar Ahmed Bhatti seized smuggled foreign cloth, new and used autoparts, car doors, and other goods worth Rs 1.5 million during checking of a vehicle near Azadi Chowk.
According to a spokesman of customs, autoparts which were seized including gear boxes, excels, air-conditioner grills etc. He further said that authorities had registered a case under Customs Act 1969.
Meanwhile, Collector Customs, Muhammad Raza Baqir has transferred Muhammad Ameer Bhakar Superintendent, from headquarters to Air Freight Unit (AFU), while Sikandar Bajwa Inspector Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has been given additional charge of Chief Transport Officer (CTO).
