NTC starts dumping probe

The National Tariff Commission (NTC) has initiated investigations into alleged dumping of acrylic tow in Pakistan from Uzbekistan. Investigations have been initiated in response to Dewan Salman Fibre complaint.
Dewan Salman Fibre, local manufacturer of acrylic tow, which is mainly used as an input by carpet and wool industries.
The Commission has asked the stakeholders to apply for registration of objection within 10 days.
According to Anti-dumping Duties Rules, 2001, the Commission for gathering information is required to send questionnaires to the parties to provide information within 37 days.
