Associated Group was founded in 1965 by Mr. Z. Z. Ahmed on his retirement from the Police Service of Pakistan. It started as a small business and today it has large interests in the marketing and production of LPG, Construction and Information Technology.
It is looking closely a further investments in the coal mining and power generation sectors, in coal mining and power generation sectors.
Associated Group is a majority shareholder in the Jamshoro LPG Extraction Project. It owns and operates two LPG Marketing Companies - Lub Gas (Pvt) Limited and Mehran LPG (Pvt) Limited. Lub and Mehran have been setting Industry standards in LPG distribution.
Vertical integration through the Jamshoro Project would further strengthen the Group's position in the LPG production and distribution sectors.
The Group has been very successful in attracting foreign investment and is looking forward to other opportunities for expansion in the LPG production sector. Several projects are being looked at Mr. M. Iqbal Z. Ahmed is the Chairman of the Group and is also the current Chairman of the LPG Advisory Committee.
Mr. Qazi Humayun Fareed is the Executive Director of the Group and is also the Honorary Consul General for Bangladesh in Lahore.
