Need for water reservoirs to boost economy stressed

In view of the imminent threat of acute water shortage the world over including Pakistan, the construction of water reservoirs will help boost national economy and improve living condition of the masses.
Former chairman, Pakistan Agriculture Research Council (PARC), Dr Amir Mohammad said this while speaking in a PTV programme.
He said that keeping in view the importance of water for human life, there is urgent need of raising water storage capacity in the country.
Dr Amir Mohammad said that the existing storage capacity of water is too short of the demand as years have lapsed without any addition in country's water reservoirs.
He said that without water capacity enhancement desired pace of development cannot be achieved.
