Awards to create trend of healthy business: SCCI chief

President Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) Adeel Rauf has said that the granting of Businessman of the Year and Export Trophy Award would help create a trend of the healthy business competition among the business community of the province.
Talking to the regional chief of the National Bank of Pakistan, Mr. Shah Jehan Khan, here at the Sarhad Chamber on Saturday, he said that the decision would not only strengthened the national economy, it would also promote the export of the province.
The SCCI chief said that the trade body of the province has announced the distribution of awards and trophies for the first time in the 40-year history of the Chamber and a large number of businessmen have contacted the Chamber in this connection so far.
He was of the view that the winners of the awards and trophies would not get fame in international market, but they would also be encouraged. The awards would be given to the people of industrial, trade, export and import sectors on the basis of investment, tax payment and export and import.
He invited commercial banks to join Sarhad Chamber in this encouragement of the businessmen.
On this occasion, the regional chief of the National Bank appreciated the decision of awarding businessmen and said that the Sarhad Chamber is really serving the business community of the province. He offered full co-operation on behalf of his bank in this connection.
