Katchi abadis residents get lease papers

The government was determined to regularise all katchi abadis and provide the poor masses with all basic facilities, said Sindh Chief Minister's Advisor for local government, Wasim Akhter on Saturday.
He was speaking to the people after inaugurating a camp set up in connection with lease of katchi abadi in Abdullah Shah Noorani colony, Korangi sector 48.
The lease camp was set up by the Sindh Katchi Abadi Authority. Challan papers were handed over to the people on the occasion.
The Advisor, Wasim said the lease rates for katchi abadis were kept reasonable so that common man could easily pay it.
The Advisor asked authority officers to ensure provision of lease to all residents of the locality. He directed them to hand over lease papers to widows in minimum possible time.
He stressed the officers to work honestly and issue lease papers only to the deserving.
The Abdullah Shah Noorani colony extended over 21 acres land where 980 families would be given lease.
MNA Nawab Mirza, Advocate and MPAs Syed Talib Imam and Jarrar Hayder also spoke. TMO Korangi Dr Mukhtar Palejo was also present on the occasion.
