Bahraini Army chief calls on President

The Chief of Staff of Bahrain Armed Forces, Major General Shaikh Rashed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa called on President General Pervez Musharraf here on Wednesday.
The President welcomed Major General Shaikh Rashed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa to Pakistan.
The President recalled the existing excellent ties between the Armed Forces of Pakistan and Bahrain, and hoped that the visit of Major General Shaikh Rashed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa would serve to further enhance these relations, and wished the dignitary a professionally rewarding and pleasurable stay in Pakistan.
Major General Shaikh Rashed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa thanked the President and the Pakistan Armed Forces for the hospitality being extended to him and members of his delegation.
He said his meetings with the military leadership and visits to various military installations and establishments had been extremely useful and professionally rewarding.
Earlier, Major General Shaikh Rashed Bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa visited the General Headquarters where he met Vice Chief of Army Staff General Mohammad Yusaf Khan. During the meeting matters of professional interest came under discussion.
Major General Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Chief of Staff, Bahrain Defence Forces, currently on an official visit to Pakistan called on Admiral Shahid Karimullah, Chief of the Naval Staff at Naval Headquarters here on Wednesday.
Major General Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa remained with the naval chief for some time and discussed matters of mutual interest.
