Probe ordered into water line burst

City Nazim Karachi Naimatullah Khan has directed Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KW&SB) on Wednesday to constitute a committee for conducting enquiry into burst of Dhabaji's main rising on Monday, consequently causing a major shortfall of water supply from Indus source.
According to sources, these directives were given to Managing Director KW&SB and he has been asked to submit the report about this line burst incident within three days. "The committee will go through each and every aspect of the incident, which has created acute shortage of water in major parts of city," sources added.
The committee would be comprised officials of KW&SB and co-ordinator of City Nazim Naimatullah Khan.
The Spokesman of KW&SB, in a press release, said on Wednesday that normal supply of water to city has been restored on Wednesday evening as repairing work on 72-inch diameter pipeline was completed 24 hours before the stipulated time.
