Clerk caught drawing two salaries since July 2002

The National Highway Authority Vigilance Cell has detected that an employee (clerk) of Pakistan Post Office was drawing salaries of two government departments simultaneously since July 2002.
Minister for Communications Ahmed Ali told the Senate on Wednesday in response to a question by PPPP Senator Farhatullah Babar that strict disciplinary action would be taken against the employee.
However, the minister in the written reply withheld name of the employee. Excessive payments would also be recovered from him, Ahmed Ali added.
The minister informed that House that the permanent employee of PPO managed to get a job in Nespak, from where he was transferred to NHA in July 2002.
Dodging the authorities, he continued to draw salaries from two departments till detected by NHA staff. The minister made no mention on which date the detection was made.
