ARD protest against government continues

Protest of Alliance for Restoration of Democracy (ARD) entered the third day, more than 300 women of component parties took part in the protest camp on Sunday at Daulat Gate.
The camp was also attended by the office bearers of the PPP, PML-N and PDP.
"We are protesting against extra-constitutional steps taken by General Pervez Musharraf, humiliation of nuclear scientists, price hike, growing unemployment, poverty, hunger and starvation, ban on trade unionism, enforcement of removal from service ordinance," said Begum Saeeda Jamal Labar.
The women participants chanted slogans," let us live in democratic atmosphere," Release scientists," Everyone is demanding, a loaf of bread, home, and clothes,"
"Our struggle would continue till the departure of General Pervez Musharraf and his set-up and protest camps are being established in 114 districts since February 13 which would continue till February 20 and then second phase of protest would be decided by the ARD leadership,' said Khurshid Ahmed Khan Ex-MPA
A worker staged a demonstration with torn clothes and a garland of dried breads and chanted slogans "Save the poor from hunger, starvation and diseases.
Prominent among the participants were Habibullah Shakir District Chief of ARD, Begum Shama Awan, Saeeda Jamal Labar, Shamshad Noorullah, Shaheen Shafiq, Sultana Shaheen, Rashida Bibi, Begum Hashim Raza, Begum B.A Jigar, Sakina Bibi, Dostan Numberdarni, Dilshad Bibi, Begum Gulzar Rashid, Nafees Ahmed Ansari, MPA, Khurshid Ahmed Khan.
Malik Mukhtar Ahmed Awan, Ehsan-uddin Qureshi, Rana Noor-ul-Hassan, Sharifullah Khan, Rana Dilmeer, Imran Liaquat Shaikh, Sahibzada Muhammad Ibrahim Khan, Dr Masud Saqib Gujjar, Rao Sajid Ali, Khawaja Rizwan Alam, Khalid Hanif Lodhi, Hashim Khan Babur and many others.
