Protest against privatisation of Fesco

In a bid to condemn the recent decision of privatisation of Fesco, a protest procession was taken out from Bakhtiar Hall Abdullah Pur, here on Sunday, at the call of Regional Labour Union Faisalabad.
The processionists also blocked the Canal Road by a protest sit-in at the front of Fesco offices.
The demonstrators raised slogans against privatisation of Fesco and described government policies as a conspiracy hatched by capitalists to capture the whole economy of the country. Later the procession dispersed peacefully.
Earlier, addressing a protest meeting held at Bakhtiar Hall Abdullah Pur, Labour Leaders Mian Rasheed Ahmad, Rana Ghulam Jaffar Khan, Mohammed Yaqoob, Zulfiqar Ahmad Khan, Syed Zakar Hussain Shah, Shiekh Sajid Mehmood, Mian Mohammad Farooq vowed to struggle against privatisation policy of the government until it was changed.
They also threatened that if demands would not accepted employees of Fesco will observe strike and also shut down the supply of electricity as a mark of protest.
