Dr Azhar made JMDC dean

The Jinnah Medical and Dental College (JMDC) has announced the appointment of Dr Azhar Hussain as the dean and member, Board of Governors of the prestigious institution.
This follows the departure of Dr Zaki Hasan from the College as the dean, said a press release.
Prior to his appointment, Dr Azhar Hussain was the head and professor of the JMDC Surgery Department.
He also holds the honour of having been the president, West Pakistan Health Services Association; he also served as the vice-president, Pakistan Medical Association.
Dr Azhar had also been professor of Surgery Department, Liaquat Medical College, and professor of Surgery at Dow Medical College.
He has been an examiner in surgery for MBBS as well as for the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan. Apart from his medical services, he has also been the registrar and councillor of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan.
Dr Azhar's long experience in administration and his successful record in the field of medicine and more recently, in education, make him well suited for the post and the challenges faced at the Jinnah Medical and Dental College.
Furthermore, the Board of Governors felt that his undying dedication towards the institution over the years had proven that he is the best man for the job.
