Bird flu not harmful to humans

The Baqai College of Veterinary Sciences has said that the 'Influenza' which has affected chickens was not dangerous to humans.
According to a statement issued here by the college on Friday, the 'Influenza' that has affected the chickens was different from that which normally catches the humans.
It observed that abandoning of the consumption of the chicken meat and eggs was not a right decision. The 'Influenza was commonly called 'Bird flu'.
The college said that the disease has remained in existence in one part or any other part of the world at various times with variations.
It said that the disease could be contained if the poultry farmers followed the simple hygienic rules of business.
It further noted that a number of diseases among humans and chickens were common in names and have different affects on the body.
