Ulema urged to play role for promotion of religious harmony

Provincial Minister for Religious Affairs and Auqaf Sahibzada Syed Saeedul Hassan Shah has appealed to Ulema to play their role in progress and prosperity of the country by promoting religious harmony and brotherhood among the people.
Talking to religious scholars belonging to different schools of thought at camp office at Data Darbar, he said Ulema command respect of the masses and government also hold them in high esteem.
They should play role in maintenance of peace in the society by promoting brotherhood and amity, he added.
He urged them to work for propagation of Islamic teachings and religious values so that Pakistan could be made a real Islamic welfare state.
Ulema assured the minister of their full co-operation in all government plans aimed at well-being of masses and promotion of sectarian harmony.
