Federal Minister for Interior, Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat has directed the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) to inspect the kitchens of all the five-star hotels and popular eating-places of the city to ensure quality of food and hygienic conditions.
Faisal Saleh Hayat has given one-week time to the ICT Administration to complete this task.
The minister said that after this deadline, he would randomly visit the kitchens of various eating-places in the city to ensure implementation of hygienic conditions.
The ICT Administration, in compliance with minister's orders has constituted a committee headed by District Health Officer, Dr Zafar ul Haq Lodhi to inspect several popular restaurants and eating-places in the city.
The committee raided various places and fined some of them for failing to meet the minimum standards of quality and hygiene.
