Wool prices remained firm in Napier but were mixed at Thursday's auction in Christchurch, Meat and Wool Innovation said in its market report.
Final indicators moved as follows in NZ cents, with dates for comparative changes provided in brackets.
Strong indicator 368 unchanged (January 22) Medium indicator 536 +11 (January 22) Fine indicator 1086 +58 (December 18) Lamb indicator 368 +4 (January 22).
Of the 2,562 tonnes offered 16 percent was passed in. The next sale is at Christchurch and Napier on February 4.
