Malaysian palm oil exports for January 1-25 stood at 734,063 tonnes, up from 716,816 for December 1-25, cargo surveyor Societe Generale de Surveillance (SGS) said in a shipment estimate released on Monday.
Intertek Testing Services, another cargo surveyor, earlier in the day estimated palm oil shipments for the first 25 days of January at 757,384 tonnes, up from 696,305 tonnes in December 1-25.
SGS said its estimates for January 1-25 included 106,073 tonnes of RBD palm oil, 282,897 tonnes of RBD palm olein, 86,601 tonnes of RBD palm stearin and 77,983 tonnes of crude palm oil.
Other palm oil products made up the balance of the export figure, SGS said in a statement.
China was the biggest buyer of Malaysian palm oil for January 1-25, taking 106,949 tonnes, followed by India, which bought 74,900 tonnes, and Pakistan with 66,372 tonnes.
European Union countries bought 159,655 tonnes amongst them.
