Lifting of ban on exports from Risalpur EPZ demanded

President, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI), Adeel Rauf has demanded of lifting a ban on exports from Export Processing Zone (EPZ) Risalpur, saying that without permitting exports from the later granting of the EPZ status to Gadoon Amazai Industrial Estate would be an useless attempt.
He was addressing a meeting of industrialists and traders on a visit of Collector Customs, Liquat Ali Agha to SCCI here on Monday.
Stressing the need for building of confidence between taxpayers and tax officials, the SCCI chief said that such measures would help in increasing the revenue and stabilisation of the national economy.
Similarly, he said that taking business community into confidence would also help government in implementing its economic policies.
He said that despite paying huge taxes, business community was facing problems and expressed sorrow over the not payment of duty draw back within 72-hours. He said that efforts for occupying the markets in India, China, Iran and Afghanistan were on and called for in time payment of the duty draw backs to make them a success.
He hailed and appreciated the Duty and Tax Regime for Exports (DTRE) rules for exports. Adeel Rauf also raised the matter of parking of the vehicles at Peshawar Dry.
Haji Muhammad Afzal, Haji Muhammad Akhtar, Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi, Mazhar-ul-Haq, Zahid Khan Shinwari, Muhammad Ishaq, Additional Collector Customs Burki, Assistant Commissioner Dry Port Aftab Haider, Assistant Commissioner Customs Torkham Hamayun Bhatti and superintendent Customs Kund Ishaq Marwat also spoke on the occasion.
