Course on farm communication begins

A 15-day training programme on "Agricultural Communication" began on Monday at the Agriculture House here.
Inaugurating the training courses, Agriculture Additional Secretary (planning) Tahir Raza Naqvi emphasised the need for effective use of mass media for information dissemination and transfer of technology to target audience.
He hoped that the participants on completion of training course would effectively disseminate information for technology transfer to their target audience.
Earlier, Punjab Agricultural Director (information) Mohammad Nawaz Bhatti, in his address of welcome emphasised the objectives of this training course, saying the knowledge and progress move in step.
Fifteen officers from various formations of Punjab Agriculture Department, Livestock and Dairy Development, Fisheries, Passco and NGOs involved in rural uplift are participating in this training programme.
The professors from the Mass Communication Department, University of Punjab and media experts from different advertising agencies and the agriculture department will deliver lectures during the course.
