RCCI concerned over hike in POL prices

President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Hussain Ahmed Ozgen has expressed his grave concern over certain rise in the POL prices and said that the fluctuation in the prices of petroleum products is directly affecting the industrial production and increasing the product's cost.
In his reaction over rise by the government in POL prices here on Saturday RCCI President said that government should make proper efforts to keep the POL prices intact and no fluctuation should be made in the prices.
Terming the uncertainty in the prices a disaster for the economic revival of the country he said that it would not only put an extra burden on common man but also affect the production in industrial sector.
It will also make Pakistani products uncompetitive in the international market.
Ozgen condemned the recent hike in Petroleum prices and said that instead of giving relief to the common man this decision by the Oil Company Advisory Committee (OCAC) would further aggravate their problems besides creating further problems and difficulty for industries, which are already facing problems at international markets.
