US Chamber and Business Council team due on January 19

A high-level joint delegation of US Chamber of Commerce and US-Pakistan Business Council will visit Lahore on January 19 to explore the investment avenues in different sectors for strengthening economic co-operation between the two countries.
Iftikhar Ali Malik, Chairman and Founder, Pak-US Business Council, told newsman on Saturday that Dr Herbert Davis, Managing Director, South Asia Affairs, US Chamber of Commerce and Ms Esperanza Gomez, newly appointed Executive Director, US-Pakistan Business Council, will represent their institutions during their visit to Pakistan.
The delegation will meet the President and executive committee members of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) and highlight in detail the economic policies of US private sector towards their Pakistani counterparts.
He said that LCCI Chief Mian Anjum Nisar will explain to the members of the delegation about the distinctive features of the excellent package of incentives offered to attract foreign investment in Pakistan.
The delegation is also scheduled to call on Governor Punjab and Chief Minister Punjab to exchange views on topics of mutual interest and further promotion of bilateral trade between the two countries.
