LCCI condoles Sami's death

The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) office-bearers have expressed their shock and sorrow over the sad demise of seasoned business leader turned diplomat Riaz Sami.
In their condolence messages, LCCI President Mian Anjum Nisar, Senior Vice-President Mian Misbah-ur-Rehman and Vice-President Shahzad Ali Malik have prayed to Allah Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace, and grant patience to the bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss with fortitude.
They paid tributes to the late for his services for the cause of trade and industry.
It may be mentioned that Riaz Sami was twice elected as member of Executive Committee of LCCI in 1982 and 1987 before turning to the foreign services in 1991. He served in Italy as Ambassador from 1991 to 1993 and as High Commissioner in UK from 1997 to 1999.
His 'Qul' will be held on Friday (January 9) at 3pm at his residence 305 Upper Mall.
