Government increases salaries of CM&MD employees

The government of NWFP on Thursday announced increase in the salaries of charge workers of the City Municipal and Management Department (CM&MD) and restored 2 percent quota in allotment of plots and quota in appointments.
Announcement into this effect was made by NWFP minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Sardar Muhammad Idrees on behalf of Chief Minister Akram Khan Durrani.
The minister also handed over the administrative charge of Hayatabad Township to CM&MD and declared that all the due promotions would be made as early as possible.
The minister made these announcements at a function of CM&DD Employees Union in Peshawar. MPA Amanullah Haqqani, Director General CM&DD Sareer Mohammad Khan, Chairman Employees Union, Mohammad Naeem Akhoonzada, President Haji Bakhtiar, General Secretary Mohammad Jan Umarzai and a large number of officers and workers also attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion Sardar Mohammad Idrees said that government wanted to solve all problems of the government employees so that they could perform their duties with honesty and dedication.
He took pledge from the workers that neither it themselves would indulge in corruption nor would they let any one to do so.
Regarding the passage of 17th amendment, Sardar Idrees said the far-sighted leadership of Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) did not aim at seeking power in it. They have worked hard for supremacy of the constitution and the parliament.
The MMAs decision, he said, has ended the uncertain situation and changed the way of thinking of the people. He said that we all would now jointly work for stability of the country and prosperity of its people.
