WEA to offer 22 technical courses to private sector

Wapda Engineering Academy (WEA) plans to offer 22 technical courses to officials of the private sector during 2004, said the Principal, Chief Engineer Chaudhry Mohammad Anwar.
Giving details, he said the courses will be of two weeks duration each, while 14 courses will be held on grid station operation and maintenance, transformer protection and maintenance, distribution system operation and maintenance, microprocessors and Process Instrumentation and Control (PCI) and steam and gas turbine simulator course.
These courses are meant for engineers and diploma holders, he said.
He further disclosed that courses on cable joining, motor winding, industrial electric skills, electronic control circuitry, advance fitting practices, machining and turning, and mechanical instrumentation (calibration of gauges) will be held for matric and diploma holders.
