03 Jan, 2004

A member of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) has approached the Chief Justice of the Lahore High Court (LHC) against additional registrar of the august court for returning his petition pertaining to nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan.
He prayed to the Chief Justice to direct the respondent to place the petition before any judge of the august court as objection case.
The petitioner contended that the respondent government has allowed the foreign agencies to interrogate Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan which is illegal, unconstitutional and without lawful authority.
He, therefore, prayed to the court to restrain the respondent foreign agencies from interrogating Dr Qadeer.
