Parliamentarians felicitated on passage of 17th amendment

Mian Farhan Latif, MNA, has congratulated the sitting parliamentarians on the passage of 17th constitutional amendment and said that they have played a historic role to strengthen democracy in Pakistan.
Talking to newsmen on Friday, he said, "the sitting parliamentarians belonging to various political parties are fully aware of their national and constitutional obligations.
They have showed maximum flexibility on the Legal Framework Order and have tried to resolve this issue with a national commitment."
Mian Farhan Latif also congratulated Prime Minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali and said that he has played a monumental role for the passage of most controversial constitutional matters.
He also appreciated the commitment of President Musharraf toward strengthening democracy. He also paid tributes to the vision, political maturity and statesmanship of Prime Minister Jamali, who supported and successfully managed to pass the 17th amendment with more than two thirds majority.
He also thanked the leaderships of treasury as well as the MMA for showing flexibility to resolve the differences on the LFO amicably.
