Police asked to act within limits of law: LHC

The Lahore High Court on Wednesday taking up a petition against police harassment to a married couple observed that police should remain within its domain and act within the limits of law.
The court directed the concerned police official to conduct himself strictly in accordance with law and not to cause any undue harassment to the petitioner and her husband.
The petition was filed by Amna Khurshid, submitted that she had married her cousin against the consent of their parents.
She submitted that their parents have been pressurising them to dissolve their marriage but the SHO Johar Town, Lahore in connivance with their parents is harassing them.
