He was presiding over a meeting at the Governor House here on Tuesday.
Matters pertaining to hygiene and cleanliness came up for discussion on the occasion.
Ebad made it clear that no dereliction would be tolerated regarding hygiene and cleanliness at the hotels' kitchens and those at the restaurants.
He said that the dress code for the kitchen staff at hotels and restaurants such as apron, gown, gloves be ensured.
Appropriate steps and concerted measures should be taken in collaboration with the owners of hotels and restaurants, administration and union for the implementation of the relevant laws.
The Governor further said that separate space should be allocated for parking at hotels and restaurants.
He directed that a list of the unregistered hotels and restaurants should be compiled and all the organizations concerned should be taken in to confidence in this regard,
Ebad also emphasised the need for framing a code of conduct in three months' time.
