Ebad lauds role of ANF

KARACHI: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan has said that Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) is playing an important role in eradication of narcotics and treatment and rehabilitation of drugs addicts throughout Sindh, which is very commendable.

This he said while addressing at a reception held in honour of Director General ANF Major General Nasir Dilawar Shah.

Prominent Industrialists Sardar Yasin Malik, Nisar Chowla, Administrator KMC, Laeeq Ahmed, and members of civil society were also present on the occasion.

Governor Sindh said that youth are the future of our country and as such it was our collective obligation to not only educate them properly but also protect them from various social evils including narcotics, so as to utilize their services for the betterment of society and progress of our country.

ANF hospital was serving prominently for treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts and by its expansion for women and children its scope of services would enhance to a considerable extent, he observed.

Dr. Ebad said that as the government was committed to get rid of all kind of drugs from the province, every help and assistance would be provided to ANF in this regard.

Under the able and active guidance of Maj. General Nasir Dilawar, ANF was working more effectively throughout the province, he added.

DG ANF Maj. General Nasir Dilawar Shah speaking on the occasion appreciated the contributions of philanthropists in expansion of ANF hospital.

He reiterated the pledge that ANF would continue to strive for making whole Pakistan drugs free.

Head of ANF Sindh Brig. Abu Zar informed about the activities of ANF throughout the province.

He said that everyone at ANF has a pledge to get rid of evil of Narcotics.
