Despite opposition's hurdles, PML(N) govt continues to serve messes: Marvi

THATTA: State Minister and Chairperson Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) Marvi Memon has said that despite hurdles, being created by the opposition, the PML (N) Government under the dynamic leadership of the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif would continue to serve the common people by providing all basic right and move the country towards the destination of progress and prosperity.

The government has initiated numbers of mega projects in various sectors of life particularly in energy sector with objective to provide maximum relief to the countrymen and improve their living standard, but the opposition does not want the betterment of the country, she said.

Marvi Memon said this while addressing a big gathering and later talking to media persons at Village Ghulam Hussain Lakhatio of Taluka Chhohar Jamali district Sujawal on Saturday.

She was critical over the role of opposition in the politics adding that first they tried to destabilize the economy of the country and now again started baseless movement under the cover of Panama Leaks.

The PML (N) Government fully committed to root out the corruption through indiscriminate accountability of all those who looted the national exchequer and plundered the rights, she said and added that it was the reason that the Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had announced Judicial Commission and offered himself first for accountability and investigation of his and his family members under Panama Leaks.

The sincerity of the government can be gauged with the acceptance of all demands of the opposition for preparation of Terms of References for Judicial Commission, the State Minister said and added that the PML (N) Government is extending cooperation with the opposition in this direction, but the opposition is divided into the matter and reluctant cooperating to each other.

She said that the countrymen are keenly observing the entire situation and they fully aware that who are sincere with them and desired to provide them basic facilities at their nearest. The PML (N) Government is gaining popularity among the masses and the same would be witnessed in the 2018 General Elections when the Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his party would retain the status, she said.

Talking about the efforts of BISP for improving the living standard of the people, Marvi Memon informed that ATM system has been abolished in order to root out the agents and middle men who were trying to loot the poor women.

She said that now the deserving women will affix their thumb impressions to get the support money of BISP.

This programme would be started in 16 district of Sindh including Thatta and Sujawal after the month of Ramzan, she informed and maintained that strict action will be taken against those who involved in cheating with the beneficiaries of BISP.
