CPEC reflects China's confidence in leadership of Nawaz Sharif: CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday said that Pak-China friendship was unprecedented in the history and the great gift of China Pakistan Economic Corridor reflected the confidence of China in the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.

He was addressing a special ceremony with regard to completion of 65 years of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China at Alhamra Hall which was arranged by Chinese Consulate.

The CM said that Pak-China friendship was higher than Himalayas, deeper than ocean, sweeter than honey and stronger than steel and the CPEC projects were an example of splendid friendship between Pakistan and China.

Shehbaz Sharif said that due to cooperation of China, the journey of progress and prosperity had started in Pakistan and would be completed at any cost.

Addressing the event, Chinese Consul General Yu Boren said that there were strong economic relations between Pakistan and China and Pak-China friendship had stood the test of time. He said that CPEC projects would usher in a new era of progress and prosperity.

He said that Pakistan-China relations were touching new heights.

He said that participation of Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in the function reflected the increasing relations between the two countries.

Provincial Ministers, Khawaja Ahmed Hassan and prominent personalities of different walks of life were also present on the occasion.
