The objective of the project is to promote mechanized quarrying in the province and discourage the conventional methods of mining by blasting.

Under the project, 13 set of excavators and compressors are handed over to PASDEC by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for renting out to the mine owners of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Chief Executive Officer, Zahid Maqsood Sheikh, on the occasion, announced that machines will be offered on first come first serve basis to the interested mine owners of the province.
