IRSA releases 208,115 cusecs water from various rim stations

ISLAMABAD: The Indus River System Authority (IRSA) Thursday released 208,115 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 176,837 cusecs.

According to the data released by IRSA, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1459.05 feet, which was 79.05 feet higher than its dead level 1380 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded at 52,000 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 100,000 cusecs.

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1157.30 feet, which was 117.30 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 46,122 and 30,000 cusecs respectively.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 144,454, 89,101 and 54,010 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from the Kabul River, a total of 46,900 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 28,115 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
