Senate body discusses implementation status of recommendations

ISLAMABAD: The Senate's Special Oversight Committee Tuesday discussed the implementation status of its recommendations.

The committee met here at the Parliament House under the chairmanship of Muhammad Javed Abbasi. Senators Nawabzada Saifullah Magsi, Saeed Ghani, Mrs Zahida Khan and Muhammad Farooq Hamid Naek attended the meeting.

The committee observed that there should be a single anti-corruption agency in the country. It also decided to invite secretaries Interior and Law, and Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in its next meeting.

The Secretary Establishment Division briefed the committee regarding his Division and its attached departments and the implementation status of recommendations pertaining to eradication of corruption in the Federal Government departments adopted by the House on October 6, 2015.

The committee appreciated the detailed briefing of Secretary Establishment.

The Secretary Climate Change also briefed the committee regarding the implementation status of recommendations.
