Turkish consumer prices rise 0.78pc in April, below forecast

ANKARA: Turkey's consumer prices rose 0.78 percent month-on-month in April, the Turkish Statistics Institute said on Tuesday, below a forecast of a 1.0 percent rise in a Reuters poll.

Consumer prices rose 6.57 percent year-on-year, while domestic producer prices rose 0.52 percent on the month, for an annual rise of 2.87 percent, the data showed.
