Pakistan and Iran enjoy deep friendly ties: Ebad

KARACHI: Pakistan and Iran enjoy deep friendly ties which are growing further with the passage of time.

This was stated by the Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan, on Wednesday.

He was talking to the Iranian Ambassador in Pakistan, Medhi Hunar Dost, who called on him at the Governor House here.

Governor said that mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Iran was in various fields and because of this both the countries were making headway.

He stated that both the countries have important role in the Muslim Ummah. By enhancing this cooperation further the two countries can play effective role at the international level.

Dr. Ishrat also called for enhanced cooperation in the field of health and education.

The Iranian Ambassador was of the view that there were some elements that were trying to create misunderstandings but both the countries very wisely frustrated such machinations.

He said that the Iran-Pakistan Gas Pipeline was in the interest of both the countries. Pakistan will get adequate gas with cheaper rates and industrial production would thus increase.
