Polish March jobless falls to 10.0pc, as expected

WARSAW: Poland's registered unemployment rate fell to 10.0 percent in March from 10.3 percent in February, the state statistics office said on Monday, posting its lowest level for the month in at least 16 years.

Analysts polled by Reuters had expected the rate at 10.0 percent.

The unemployment rate in March stood at its lowest level for the month since at least the year 2000, statistics office data showed. The rate stood at 9.8 percent in December last year.

The statistics office also said that the number of registered unemployed stood at 1.601 million last month.
