Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Five ships C.V Priority, M.V Jahor Express, M.T Liberty -N, Al-Ghashaniya and M.T Atlantic Glory scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, LPG, LNG and chemicals were berth at Qasim International container Terminals, Multi Purpose Terminal, Sui Southern LPG Terminal, Engro Elengy Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile two more ships C.V MSC Pamela and M.T Bloge Tanyia with containers and LPG also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was report at the port at fifty three percent on Thursday where a total of eight ships namely C.V Priority, C.V Maersk Salalah, M.V Johar Express, M.V Malakand, M.T Liberty-N M.T Atlantic Glory, M.T Bunga Akasa and M.T Silaver Monika were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, canola seeds, LPG, chemicals, palm oil and diesel oil and respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 90,191 tonnes comprising 60,342 tonnes tonnes imports and 29,849 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2,030 containers (TEUs)(565 TEUs imports & !,495 TEUs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

C.V Maersk Salalah sailed to sea on Friday morning, while three ships, C.V Priority, M.T Bunga Kasa and M.T Silver Monika are expected to sail on same day.

Six ships C.V MSC Pamela, JC.V San Felipe, C.V Hansa America, M.T Boronia, M.T Sam Pride and M.T Al-Ghashaniya carrying containers Terminal, FOTCO Oil Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal and Engro Elengy Terminal respectively on Friday. While Container Vessel MSC Al-Ghero and oil tanker Okyroe are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday
