Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships C.MS Maeva, M.T Al-Saflia and M.T Central Park carrying containers, 141,347 cubic meter LNG and 19131 tonnes phosphoric acid were arranged berthing Qasim International Container Terminal, Enggro Elengy Terminal and Engro Vopak Terminal respectively on Tuesday.

Meanwhile four more ships with containers, project cargo and diesel oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was recorder at the Port At 53% on Wednesday where a total of eight ships namely C.MSC Maeva, C.Maersk Kinloss, M.V Sea Wave, M.T Omera Queen, M.T Orient Jasmine, M.T Ocean Coral, M.T AL-Saflia and M.T Central Park were occupied at PQA berths to load/ offload containers, cement, coal, palm oil LNG, chemicals and furnace oil respectively during lat 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 119,377 tonnes, comprising 98,993 toones imports and 20,384 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carrier in 1,427 containers (TEUs) (479 TEUs imports and 948 TEUs exports) was handled at the port during last 24 hours.

Two ships, M.T Omera Queen and M.T Ocean Coral Sailed out to sea on Thursday morning, while two more ships C.MSC Maeva and M.T Orient Jasmine are expected to sail on same day.

Three ships C.V CMA CGM Carmen, C.V CMA CGM Maussant, M.V Diamond Sea and M.T Bahra and M.T Kong Que Song scheduled to load/offlaod containers, cement and project cargo are expected to take berths at QICT (Berth#7&9) MW-4 and MW-3 respectively on Thursday.

While chemicals carrier 'Atlantic Glory' is due to arrive at Port Qasim on same day and C.V CSAV Toconao, C.V Uni Florida and M.V Trans Nanjing are due to arrive on Friday.
