Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships C.V CMA CGM Corneille, M.T JS Green Speed and m.T New Challenge carrying containers, chemicals and diesel oil were arranged berthing at Qasim international Container Terminal, Engro Vopak Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile two more ships C.V Pucon and M.T Tomsaon Gas with containers and LPG also arrive of outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Thursday, where a total of ten ships namely C.V CMA CGM Corneille, C.V Maersk Kithira, C.V MSC Lisbon, C.V CMA CGM Uruguay, M.V Adventure-K, M.T Corona, M.T White Purl, M.T JS Green Speed, M.T New Challenge and M.T Al-Gharrafa were occupied at PQA berths to load/offload containers, cement, diesel oil palm oil LPG and LNG respectively during last 24 hours.

Cargo throughput during last 24 hours stood at 138152 tonnes, comprising 85281 tonnes imports and 52871 tonnes exports, inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 4395 containers (TEUs) was handled at the Port.

Three ships C.V Maersk Kithira, C.V MSC Lisbon and M.T Corona sailed out to sea on Friday morning, while three more ships CMA CGM Corneille, M.T AL-Gharrafa and M.V Adventure-K are expected to sail on same day afternoon.

Five ships C.V Pucon, C.V Maersk Innoshima, C.V Tommi Ritscher, M.T AU Leo and M.T Tomson Gas carrying containers Palm oil and LPG are expected to take berths at Containers Terminal, Liquid Terminal and SSGC LPG Terminal respectively on Friday while two more ships C.V Nicoline Maersk, and C.V MSC Valencia are due to arrive at Port Qaim on Saturday, an oil tanker 'Omera Qeen' is due to arrive on Sunday, 3rd April 2016.
