PORTLAND: Reigning champion Nia Ali of the United States won the gold medal in the women's 60m hurdles at the World Indoor Athletics Championships here Friday.

Ali came home in 7.81sec, just beating out compatriot Brianna Rollins, who took silver in 7.82sec.

Great Britain's Tiffany Porter won bronze in 7.90sec.
