ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court Monday issued notices to Ministry of Finance and Privatization Commission making them party in a plea against investigation into the Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) privatization by National Accountability Bureau (NAB).

The IHC bench comprising Justice Aamir Frooq and Justice Mian Gulhassan Oranzaib heard the MCB Bank's petition challenging NAB's notice to it for cooperation in investigations.

The petitioner earlier did not cite the Finance Ministry and Privatization Commission as respondents. However in compliance with the court orders the applicant made them the respondents. The court issued them notices and adjourned hearing till March 15.

In the previous hearing, the court rejected the application of Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB) seeking stay order against NAB's investigation regarding the bank's privatization matter.
