MNA Awais Leghari calls on Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE: MNA Awais Ahmad Leghari called on Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, here on Thursday and discussed ongoing welfare projects for the people of south Punjab.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the prosperity of the people of south Punjab was dearer and Punjab government had provided billions of rupees for the development and prosperity of people of south Punjab. He said work is continuing speedily on the Metro Bus Project for providing traveling facilities of international standard to the people of Multan which is the big city of south Punjab. He said after completion of Metro Bus Project, modern, speedy and economical traveling facilities would be available to the people of south Punjab including Multan.

He said that the knowledge centers like Daanish Schools had also been setup in south Punjab which were playing important role in promoting education in the area. He said that quality treatment facilities were also being provided to the people of south Punjab through mobile health units at their doorstep. He said a hospital equipped with latest facilities has been setup in Bahawalpur whereas the most modern Recep Tayyip Ardogan hospital established with the cooperation of Turkey in Muzaffargarh is providing best treatment facilities to the people.

He said that ten percent more quota has been allocated for the districts of south Punjab in the development and welfare programs.
