SBP to hold SME Finance Mela on Feb 22

KHANEWAL: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), Banking Services Corporation in collaboration with all SME stakeholders will hold Finance Mela in Multan on February 22.

According to the Official sources, the basic objective of the event was to create awareness among SMEs regarding available products and services offered by financial Institutions and banks.

The SMEs will show and sell their products & services during the event so that they can identify the windows/options available for financing their needs through financial institutions and get answers of their queries on the spot.

The programme will be held at Shangrilla Gardens.

Qasim Nawaz Managing Director State Bank of Pakistan Banking Services Corporation will participate as chief guest.

The experts from State Bank, Commercial Banks and Trade Bodies would give information to the participants about the role and functions of different stakeholders, scope and best practices in SME financing, key issues, challenges and way forward.

Moreover, SMEs will also set up their stalls to showcase their products. Asif Iqbal Development Finance Officer would be the focal person for this mega event.

Meanwhile, Asif Iqbal advised all the banks dealing in SME financing to set up their stalls on February 21, 2016 and ensure availability of brochures, pamphlets, booklets of their products and services in a proper manner.
