ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain Wednesday accepted the resignation of Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sardar Mehtab Khan Abbasi on the advice of Prime Minister.

The President accorded his approval on a summary initiated by the Cabinet Division.

Speaker of KPK Assembly would be the acting governor till the new appointment, said a press release.
