ISLAMABAD: Secretary Information of Awami National Party (ANP) Zahid Khan on Tuesday asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) to avoid politics of double standards on Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government on Monday enforced Essential Services Act 1958 in all the government teaching hospitals across the province to prevent protests by the doctors against the implementation of KP Medical Teaching Institute Reforms Act, 2015.

The move came as a surprise for many in the province as the PTI was opposed to the Act's enforcement in the PIA by the federal government.

Zahid Khan said that PTI chief Imran Khan in couple of days in public gathering in Balochistan had opposed the Essential Service act in PIA while on the next day his government had announced to implement Essential Services Act 1958 in the hospitals.

He said that KPK government was responsible for doctors' strike and miseries of patients.

ANP secretary information said that it would be anti-people as every house in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had been affected by terrorism and they needed cheaper government medical facility.

He said that ANP fully supported the just demand of doctors and wanted ending of miseries of patients.
